It has been a while since I updated the blog, so I thought I would post an update in what is going on. We have been at our property since last Tuesday, after a long week end with our Good Sam Chapter, the Sunset Ramblers. We are still awaiting our prospective buyers new loan company to have the loan come out of underwriting so we can close. The proposed date is on or before the 29th of August. Of course, while we have been awaiting action from the loan company, the range died, so we are going to look at a similar model today (used of course) because we do not want to leave the house in an unusable condition, including the oven. An expense we did not want to have, but, should this loan not go through, like the last attempt, we would have to replace it anyway. We are headed to Grand Lakes Golf and RV Resort in Orange Lake, FL. on the 27th for North Florida Lifetime Sams Labor Day weekend camp out. We have 22 rigs that have let us know that they will be there. Should be FUN!
We had an issue with our Rand McNally GPS. The USB port went bad, so we could not charge it or update it. I contacted Rand McNally, and was told they could repair it for $99.99. When I called the to set that up, I was told by the Technical Section, that they no longer serviced that model. I sent another email complaining about the attitude of the Tech and the fact that what needed repaired was the same item they Still use, and I received a call from the same Tech, telling me that they would repair it, and what I needed to do. We are sending it off, at their expense, today. I guess it pays to complain when treated poorly by a companies service. Anyway, I think that updates on most of the things going on. Keep your fingers crossed about the closing. We are ready to hit the road again!
