Lost Track of Time Again!

It's hard to believe the time that has passed since I last wrote.  We have been really busy and, of course, having fun.  We finished working the Quartzsite show and did get by the Quartzfest, but only one day.  We got to visit with John and Jan Hartman, Lew and Sandy Palley, and Skip and Jan Pratt.  It was good to see them, and we were fortunate enough to spend some time with them later on.

  • We enjoyed the Escapees Happy Hour in Quartzsite.  That is the first 3 pictures and the last picture is the staff at the Escapees booth at the Quartzsite RV Show.  We were happy to sign up a grand total of 135 new members.
After the show, Debby and I went to Quails Run RV Resort in Quartzsite for 3 nights of full hook ups.  Got the holding tanks on the rig cleaned out while we were there.  The RV Proctylagist did not do as good a job as Healthy Tanks in central Florida, but at least we know what is in the tanks is ours.

We left Quartzsite and headed towards Yuma for the Yuma Hamfest.  We had been given a buy one week, get another one free for the Palms RV Resort in Yuma.  Wow!  What a resort.  One of the nicest resorts we have been in, but has 23 pages of rules.  I doubt that we will ever go back, unless it is another buy one get one free.

When we left The Palms, we headed to the Yuma Hamfest where we met up with our I.O.O.K. friends.  The Hartman's, the Pauley's, the Ambernthies, and the Pratt's were there, so that is where we met up with them.  We enjoyed the hamfest very much.  I got a new mobile 2mtr/440 rig by TYT.  Very compact and fairly easy to use, although I am still learning the ins and outs of the radio.

After the hamfest, we all went to West Wind RV Resort as we were given 2 free nights at the Quratzsite RV show.  Nice park.  While we were in Yuma, we also saw Joe and Nancy Liston.  We went to Mexico with them and the Yuma Teritorial Prison museum.  We enjoyed the prison and the trip to Mexico.  If you need drugs, eye exams/glasses or dental work, that seems to be the place to go.

When we left Yuma, we headed to Pheonix International Raceway for the Good Sam RV Show.  We won free camping at the Quartzsite RV Show.  We went ahead and sprang for an early bird night at $12.  IT was dry camping, but we really enjoyed it.

While we were at the Good Sam RV Show, we met up with Schmuhl's from our Good Sam Chapter in Florida.  You just never know who you will run into on the road.
From the RV Show, we headed to The Pima County Fairgrounds where Escapade is going to be.  Our friends who were going to go out and ask for door prizes for Escapade had a family emergency, so we were asked to stand in for them.  We have been out almost every day soliciting door prizes for Escapade.  It has been fun, both of feel that it would be better if someone from the area would do it would be better.
That is it for now.  Escapade is a couple of weeks away, and we are really looking forward to it.  We did get to see the building today.  There has been LOTS of improvements here at the Pima County Fairgrounds.  It should be a really nice Escapade.
Y'all travel safe, and I'll type more later
