October Update

We enjoyed the COE Park in Waco, TX.  Our stay was nice and  we stayed there until the eleventh of September.  There were full hook up sites there and our only complaint was the Walnut trees dropping their nuts on our rig.  We did have to move after most of our stay into another site as we could not get the same site reservations for our entire stay.  When we moved, we were no longer under the Walnut tree and, I could get satellite.

Next we headed to Dyess Air Force Base and their FamCamp!  We checked in there on the 11th and stayed until 18th.  This is a fairly nice FamCamp and we did enjoy our stay.  I must say this base has the Best static display of aircraft I have seen.

Next we went to "The Ranch", an Escapees Co Op park in Lakewood, NM.  We appreciated the hospitality from the folks there and while we were there we were able to visit the UFO Museum in Roswell, NM and we visited Carlsbad Caverns in Carlsbad, NM.

We left the Ranch on the 27th and drove to Holiday KOA in Bernalillo, NM, just north of Albuquerque, NM.  We met up with Gary and Mary Olsen before we went into the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta as Co-Hosts for the Escapee HOP.  The KOA was an OK campground, but, as usual, over priced and my satellite dish pointed to the tree next to our site.  When we left, the tree next to our site was very misplaced and in a VERY BAD place.  We had an empty site in front of us, so I went through that site to get out.

On the 1st of October we went into the Balloon Fiesta Fairgrounds.  We had our challenges, but we were able to work them all out and got spaces for all of our attendees.  We really had a good time watching the balloons and would highly recommend attending the fiesta.  I'm sure you would enjoy it as much as Debby and I did.

We moved from the fairgrounds today to American RV Resort.  Nice campground and we will be here until the 19th.   I'll add pictures of this place nest blog.

Travel safe, and I'll type more later!
