When we left the Pima County Fairgrounds and went to Huachuca City in January, we had the slide out repaired. The slide guide screws that hold it in had broken. RV City, in Huachuca City, AZ did the repair and they did a great job. I will say this about Tiffin, and leave it at this, when they called TIffin to find out some information about our slide, Tiffin told them that they should tell us to go to their dealership in Tucson, which is LeMasa. LeMas has garnered a reputation for poor service, so we continued to let RV City do the repair. Keith, one of their repairmen, did a great job. He also fixed our front shades by replacing the motors. The only issue we had, was with the extended warranty company, who did not want to pay the labor rate that RV City charges, so we ended up paying the difference of $5 per hour labor. While we were there, they also replaced our house batteries with Interstate AGM's. We needed new batteries, so it was good to get them replaced.
We are rally happy with the work RV City did and would highly recommend them. We also replaced our toilet that we bought from them. They give a 10% military discount and we got a really good deal on the new toilet.
We moved the house from Quail Ridge RV Resort in Huachuca City up to Spotted Bull Rest in Vale, AZ where we met up with Gary and Mary Olson, who we do coffee and donuts with at Escapade. We dry camped there until we went into Escapade at the Pima County Fairgrounds the next day. We went to dinner at the Spotted Bull and Larry and Marilyn Forbes joined us. We had a really good meal and we really enjoyed the company.
We did the usual coffee and donuts at Escapade. 4 AM came really early as we are not used to it anymore, but we had a really good time. We sold over 2400 donuts and we made 266 gallons of coffee. That's a LOT of coffee!
While we were at Escapade, I helped give "ham" radio license tests. We had 3 new Technicians, 2 of which upgraded to General, and one upgrade to General. We also had 2 that took the Technician test, but they had not been exposed to the material, so they did not pass, but I'm sure they will try again after they have had a chance to study.
We stayed at the Pima County Fairgrounds after Escapade and we are currently here until the 8th of April, when they want to empty the campgrounds for the fair. We will go from here to Deming, NM to the Escapees RV Park there. We are slowly making our way up to visit friends in Springfield, SD.
