A Better Day!

Today was a much better day than yesterday!  We got up and decided to tour the area.  We went over Glenn Canyon Dam and on into Utah.  The beautiful scenery continues there!  This is a picture of our site here a Page Lake Powell RV Park.  It's a pretty nice campground, but we have had friendlier neighbors elsewhere. The cliffs to the east of us is a nice perk.

Today we took the scenic drive and really enjoyed the sites.  We had planned on getting some bolts so I could fix the in bed fuel tank that came loose yesterday, but by the time we got back to town, all the stores were closed.  Here are some of the sites we enjoyed today.

On the way home, we filled up the fuel tank.  We searched for a while to find the best price, and Gas Buddy helped a lot.  The cheapest we found was $2.89.9.  We did see it for $3.09.9, so the price we paid was the best we could expect in this area.  I positioned the tank before we filled up in hopes that it would stay until I could get some bolts in it.  As we did not get the bolts I wanted, I made do with some that I already had.  I don't think it will go anywhere now.  Maybe I'll get the bolts I want and redo the hold down like I would like.  Tomorrow we are planning on a trip to Four Corners.  It will be a couple of hundred miles, but we thought we would get that done before we left the area.  I'll update you all later.

Y'all travel safe and I'll type more later.

  2. Check it out. Years later they discovered that 4 corners was actually 1 1/2 miles from the marker. But since the indians spent so much money on the site the states decided to leave it. Let me know if that is mentioned antwhere?
