A Catch Up

I just realized how long it has been since I updated this.  We have pretty well been on the go since my last update.  Once we left Hatch, UT we went to Salina, Ut, where we stayed at Butch Cassidy RV Park.  While we were there, we went to Bryce Canyon and enjoyed a balloon festival.  We really enjoyed them both,

Once we left Salina, we headed to Shady Acres RV Park in Green River, UT where we enjoyed Arches National Park and Canyonland National Park.  The scenery in Utah is absolutely beautiful!  If you are ever in this area, make sure you go to these Parks.  These parks make the Senior Pass a necessary item!

After that we headed for Aunt Sadies River Dance RV Park.  This park did not have sewer hook ups and Charged $40 per night.  We only stayed there 2 nights but got a good rest after the mountain grades.
When we left River Dance, we headed toward more mountains and stayed at Prospect Place RV Resort in Wheat Ridge, CO.  This was not a bad park, but VERY narrow sites.  Luckily they were pull thru sites.  While we were there, we visited with friends we hadn't seen in 13 or so years.  It was good to see Pat & Tom.

Next we  headed for F. E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY.  This is a fairly nice park, just has aged a bit.  The main road into the park was washed out, so we had to take an alternate route.  As soon as we drove on the base, we saw wild animals.  It wasn't until we left that we finally got a picture of one of them.  We celibrated our 31st wedding anniversary on the 1st while we were there.  We went out to dinner at 2 Doors Down, an burger place.  The food was good, and we enjoyed our anniversary.  By the way, on the way into Wyoming, we stopped at the welcome center, which we feel is the nicest and most informative welcome center we have ever been in.

Yesterday we left the AFB and now we are at Chuckwagon RV Park in Ft.  Laramie, WY.  It is a park of only 11 sites, which are narrow and hard to get into.  We were warned about the trains.  The park is right next to several RR track.  Trains on a regular basis.  Not to bad though  at least we were warned.

well, now your up to date.  I will try not to wait so long for the next post.  Y'all travel safe, and I'll type more later.
